High octane jam flames out at 11:00 into an excellent Page and Mike led minimalist groove which -> to "Maze." There is also a -> "DwD" from "Ghost" later in this show to complete the earlier, unfinished version.

This show marked the Phish debut of Roses Are Free. BBFCFM was for the first time since August 6, 1996 (118 shows) and included Electric Funeral teases from Trey. Blue Monk was teased by Trey in the intro leading into Ghost. Ghost also included Hanky Panky teases from Trey. The soundcheck's Funky Bitch was sung by Trey and Page. Footage from this show appeared in the film Bittersweet Motel.
